damn near perfect

so basically
everything that could be done in my apartment
has been done.

meaning,
everything is moved in.
my free furniture/dishes/fabrics are arranged/organized/utilizied.

and framed four others.

i'm collected and posted recipes on a corkboard,
used my refrigerator as a whiteboard.

which is now stuffed
and jam packed
with all my books/office tools/crafting supplies.

my closet is organized and utilized.

my bathroom neat, clean, and happening.

and sure.

but the place is pretty much damn near perfect as i can make it right now.
and that, my friends, is something to love.

the bookshelf

i'm slowly and continuously re-arranging, arranging, re-arranging, imagining in my apartment.

and i needed a bookshelf.

"don't buy that!" aaron cried.
"i could make that for you in an hour and a half!"

so he did.
and i fell in love with him forever.

another cool thing, and this one involves my apartment

cool.
from etsy?

yeah.
i wanted.
and i died.

and they're wayy more money than i have, which is none.

and then i got even more broke
and even more impatient
and am very eager to actually fix up my apartment the way i want to
(which is, of course, hard when you're broke,
but EASY when you have such good friends and loved ones!)

and i decided to make them myself.

so i did.
and i'm not gonna lie,
i cried
when i painted
"the best is yet to come."

i have nothing, but everything, ahead of me.
i'm standing right in the middle of my beautiful life,
full steam ahead,
and i literally, have nothing
but everything
right now.

the best is yet to come.

ALSO.
everyone.
i decided to be a lazypants
and not prime, rule, or practice what i drew.
luckily, lazypants is apparently my style and i'm SUPER happy with how these turned out.
i bought canvas.
one brush.
(told you i was broke.)
black paint
and pink paint.
and then painted.
if you look closely at the tiny ones, you can see that my brush was obvs wayy too big.
man oh man, did that ever give me trouble.

**spoiler alert!** i also began my fabric canopy last night. aaron hung it, and it looks AMAZING, except that it needs ONE MORE DARK, SOLID COLORED SHEET before it's perfect. pics soon, i promise, and if anyone has an old sheet laying around they'll let me have and chop up, i'm accepting donations. :)

wall art

so here's some prints i ended up falling in love with.
i'm looking for a single print
to frame
and hang over my bed

originally,
i wanted to do a series of three prints.
and if i could find my original post on the matter,
i'd link it here.
alas.

anyway, my new space warrants ONE.
and when i get my fabric curtain all up and hung,
it'll be perfect.

i liked this big heart one A LOT.
but i can't get it printed poster size,
and, honestly,
i like BIG prints.
the bigger the better.

and i choose this one, "the best is yet to come."
except, check this out,
it would cost me $140!! OHMYGOD!! to get it printed.
which is obviously wayyyy out of my budget.

so i'm gonna home-school it and make it myself, maybe.
it depends.
as in, if i can't get the heart one
i'll either buy a huge thick piece of white artist paper
and red + black paper
and try my hand at making both.
uggghh!!

and whichever one comes at best,
is the one that will win.

i'm a little nervous.
i mean, i love trying things!
but i love these prints for a reason:
they look goooooood.
i'm not a graphic artist.
wish me luck! :D

and the third note, i needz internet

i've been dying to blog about texas,
mainly because i've got such great photos,

namely
this one:

this one:

and this one:

but have yet to bloggety blog blog
because i have yet to obtain internet-y internet internet.

i attempted to make a pact with any one of my five new neighbors to split their already-established internet,
but it turns out that perhaps these aren't the kind of people to share a password-protected network.
i mean, i told them i'd pay and enter into a written agreement and everything!
alas.

ANyway, le internet is probably two weeks forward in my le future,
and then i'll blog till my little heart's content.

that's the great thing about having an apartment:
i actually have a home.
and when i'm home, i'm doing whatever i want,
which is often usually blogging.
or dancing. or acting. or bathing. or making some tasty quiche. yeah yeaaaah!
