The Debate Rages: Matching vs. Not

Hey y'all.

I was talking with Ash the other day about the debate over matching vs. non-matching bridesmaids dresses.

Seems to be, lots and lots of brides to be LOVE the idea...but don't know how to pull it off.

Most are worried about keeping the maids uniformed, keeping the colors together, grouping them so that they all still feel like part of the wedding, as a whole.

And then, today, I found this post from Meg Perotti about how she did mixmatched bridesmaids dresses for her wedding. It's brilliant! (helped, in part, by the fact that her styles truly are to die for--so beautiful.)

And here's what I learned from Miss Perotti: 1) Go talk to the owner of a vintage store you love. Tell her what you're looking for, and ask her to keep an eye out for you.

and 2) Make a date of it! Take all your girls at once so you can see how the dresses look on and against one another.

Make sure you read her original blog post, here. It's totally worth it.

Unless you're my dad, and then I'm sure you could care less.

Right, Dad? ;)
